Parkgate started off well, the first chance falling to Simon Harrison who’s long range free kick hit the bar in the 3rd minute.
The strong start continued as Ollie Yates put a good delivery in that was fired over from close range from Mack Collinson who arrived late into the box.
Moments later defender Matt Crookes had a chance that was goal-bound till the Hallam defender headed the ball on to the crossbar before being clearer.
The first real chance for the visitors came in the 25th minute when a strike was blocked on the 6 yard box to keep the scores level. 4 minutes later the visitors shot wide from long range.
It was a high tempered game, mainly from the Hallam players and their bench, the first yellow card came in the 33rd minute after a foul as Parkgate looked to break.
The pressure finally paid off for Parkgate as Zak Khalifa made the most of a switch off in defence to volley home from just inside the box, left-back Lewis Whitaker providing the pass. Parkgate were unlucky not to add to their lead as the first-half came to a close.

In the 79th minute, the visitors had their goal. A real goal mouth scramble led to a equaliser, that appeared to be put in by a Lewis Whitaker, who could get out of the way after the ball cannoned off the crossbar and back into the six-yard box.

In added time, ex-Hallam man Elliott Simpson was shown a straight red for a bad foul which sparked outrage on the Hallam bench and on the pitch as the referee seemed to lose control of the game.
