Match Preview: Skegness Town vs Parkgate

By George Morris

Can the Steelmen bounce back from three consecutive defeats and win at 15th place Skegness Town?

On Saturday, Parkgate travel to the Vertigo Stadium on the back of three defeats at the hands of Worsbrough Bridge (5th), Grimsby Borough (2nd) and Campion (1st).

With all NCEL games called off last weekend because of the weather, including Parkgate's home fixture against Ollerton Town. The Steelmen now have the chance to get back to winning ways against lower league opposition.

FORM
Parkgate go into the game on the back of a 4-2 home defeat to league leaders Campion, two weeks ago. However, this Parkgate side usually punish lower league opponents, away from home for certain. The last time Parkgate were away from home was at Worsbrough Bridge when the impressive eight game winning run came to an end.

Saturday's opposition, Skegness Town, have only won one game from the previous five league games. With losses to Swallownest, AFC Emley, Dronfield Town and Grimsby Borough. Last time out narrowly losing away from home to Swallownest 1-0. However, they have new ideas and attitudes to the season with new managers.

TEAM NEWS

Midfielder Reece Hands misses the game and the rest of the season from now on due to him moving back to America to continue his coaching career with Cincinnati United.
