ATT 70
The game couldn’t have started any worse for Shirebrook as they fell behind after only 4 minutes when Barrow pounced on a defensive error and Samuel Richards gave the home side the lead but Shirebrook pushed forward with chances falling to Aaron Williamson, Kieran Darby, Connor Williamson and Jack Cornell but all saw there shots go wide of the goal and despite a few Shots off target as the half was drawing to a close from Barrow both sides went in the half time with the game in the balance.
Whatever Shirebrook manager Gary Bryant said to his players at half time went out the window after only 2 minutes of the second half as Henry Dunn extended Barrow lead the home side knew they had the chance to wrap the game up and kept pushing for the 3rd goal and Shirebrook were thankful to goalkeeper Pitor Strycharz for keeping the score at 2 but in the 68th minute Barrow did get a 3rd through Harry Allcock as the half was drawing to a close Shirebrook did have a few chances to pull a goal back in the last 10 minutes but nothing came of them and Shirebrook had to settle for an opening day defeat.
