Disappointing defeat to Chipping Sodbury

A close game

Today we welcomed Chipping Sodbury.

Chipping Sodbury scored first after we missed tackles, however we hit back quickly, when Shippy caught the ball in the full back position running straight through everyone, managing to find the try line.

Just before half time, we conceded an almost identical try to the first, where yet again we missed tackles.

Second half, we altered the team's positions around and the forwards started to win much more of the possession. Unfortunately, we did however concede the next try after Logan (who was playing the second half for the opposition), intercepted the ball and scored a try.

Tom W scored the next two tries making the game 3-3, nevertheless Chipping Sodbury scored the final try, where yet again we allowed their most dangerous player to pass straight through our defence, losing the game 4-3.

A big thanks to Seb, Fraser, Logan and James who all played a half of rugby for Chipping Sodbury as they were short of players. They all played very well and were a credit to both teams.

Notable mentions to Shippy who played very well in his new position as full back. Harry, Tom W, and Dan Navas also did very well with their continued efforts in tackling and rucking,

We have a lot of lessons to learn after this game, mainly around our tackling, which we will need to work hard at in training.
