The Off Season

For many of you it may be the off season as far as Rugby is concerned but off the field a lot goes on.

The Amazing Marcus Coffin is this year's Hampshire Rugby Youth Coach of the year, following on from Marcus (again!), his wife Sandra and our amzing Physio Suzi le Voi getting volunteer of the year certificates at the event where our Chairman, Laura Self, got unsung hero of the year, all from the Mitsubishi-sponsored RFU awards!

And if that makes you go phew! also spare a thought for the gaggle of Trojans (pictured, and yes Marcus is there again!) who ran up and down the runway at Southampton Airport to raise money for the Hampshire and IOW Air Ambulance. Together with the hundreds of other runners that morning has raised over £20,000 for the Air Ambulance, a vital service if ever there was one.

And then today our Academy prop got nominated as a Rhino PropStar.

Add to that all the work going on to prepare for next season and beyond and we might not have been playing recently but Trojans volunteers have certainly been very busy indeed.

Ladies and Academy training has started for next season and the Men start back on Tuesday so from here on in it's all go....

And that's without the club incorporation, preparation for the AGP and Hardmoor, the touch Rugby organised by: guess who? yes Marcus and Sandra (do they ever stop?) and the new club bar manager, lower prices and more food choices, even several choices of low alcohol beers if you're driving.
