Another tough and physical encounter for the boys against a team with good depth and individual skill. But once again the class of the Wadebridge squad and reserves decided the game emphatically in camels' favour. With Newquay only making any headway in the final five minutes of the game.

Then first ten minutes were pretty even but playing totally inside the Newquay 22 it was only a matter of time before the pressure told. The first try was again scored by Owen in his second start at scrum half. This time with a dart and step from the base of a ruck to go in untouched. Jack's calmly taken conversion was just rewards.

Nearly the whole of the rest of the first half was played in Newquay territory with strong defence and powerful running by Callum and Matt in particular lead to Owen scoring his second was scored a few after stripping the opposition's number 8 at the base of a scrum and then dribbling the ball down the sideline, diving on it in the corner.

The boys cashed in on their dominance in the forwards and I'm particular Zach and Callum in the scrum with Hugo showing his class and power with the ball in game. Soon Simon crashing over in style from a few yards out but managing to show his pace and athleticism in the weave, wiggle and dive. Jack again slotted the kick with room to spare.

With half time approaching the backline started to cause the opposition some problems. Aaron straightening things up and will and Jake running hard. Owen completed his hat trick with a surge of pace and balance to walk in under the posts. Jack was as reliable as ever to score the conversion to put the camels up 26-0 at the half.

A lot of changes took place at the half and it took a little while for the boys to get back into their stride offensively. However they still managed to keep Newquay penned in their half for almost the entirety again. Key to this was the ever reliable George at 15 catching every kick that came his way. He has been an absolute star this season, catching every ball that has come his way and always making the first, and usually the second and third defender miss. George has also not missed a tackle all year and is turning into a very important part of the team.

In the second half Morgan and Joe took control of things with some great rucking and powerful running. Joe was unlucky to spill the ball after a fantastic rip. However great pressure by Wadebridge caused a terrible clearance kick which landed straight into Will's hands. He sucked in a few defenders before timing his pass to Jake beautifully. Jake had some work to do but Will's skill and version made Jake's job a little easier. Jake powering over in the right corner. Jack again stroking the ball between the uprights.

But for a muddle in the left corner a few minutes later Harry would have scored his first ever try as he was supporting the runner excellently and has been tackling with confidence.

Morgan showed his class with some great tackle and then a strong charge for the line, knocking defenders out of his way to slide in under the posts from twenty metres out. Jack slotted the conversion as usual.

Joe finished things off with a well deserved try, twisting and darting but ultimately using his power to touch down in the corner.

Some more substitutions were made and Newquay managed to get a little bit of pressure going in the last five minutes, culminating in a try by their very good number 8 after a rare missed tackle.

The final score was 45-5.
Today's team: Zach, Matt, Callum, Oli, James, Joe, Simon, Hugo, Owen, Jack, Aaron, Will, Jake, Ed, George, Harry, River, Archie, Morgan.
