STAFFS FESTIVAL - Sunday 21st April 2013

It has been confirmed that Walsall Under 7's will be entering 2x teams into this seasons Staffordshire Festival to be held at -

The Staffordshire Festival is a great day out for both players and spectators. There will be 20 teams entering the Under 7's Staffs Festival this year, so there will be lots of rugby to be played!

From the information received from Burton themselves -
''Registration will begin at 9.30am and it is recommended that you start arriving from 8.30am to avoid possible problems with shopping traffic and enable a prompt start. Burton RFC has a town centre location and parking can be difficult, for this occasion we have been able to secure the use of a Local Authority owned Car park opposite the club. We will have stewards to help you locate the car park but details are also in the attachment. We would recommend that you inform your parents / supporters NOT to park in the car park to the Halfords / Dunelm mill retail park as this will incur a rather large fine and possible clamping. In the event that the designated car park is filled, it is worth knowing that there is a large car park a few hundred metres away down Bond St and to the left, however this is a pay and display.''

It will likely be a full day with games starting at 1030am and being played throughout the day (as an indicator, the final games will be played at 14.15pm.

We now have 13 confirmed players who have paid up subs, completed registration forms and have ID cards (or they are being sorted this week). No matter how well the kids do, this will be a great day of rugby and something to look forward to. I certainly cant wait!

P.S - THE FOLLOWING WEEK 28TH APRIL, WILL BE OUR FINAL TRAINING SESSION. THIS WILL BE A FUN WEEK WHERE EVERY PLAYER WILL BE GETTING A CERTIFICATE, A MEDAL AND TWO TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE 'PLAYER OF THE SEASON' AND THE 'MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE SEASON'. THESE WILL BE VOTED FOR BY YOU THE PARENTS!
