Dunvant CC beat Margam at Home

Dunvant's first home game resulted in a comfortable win against Margam 2nds

First home fixture resulted in Sunday cricket due to the last rugby being played on the Saturday. The weather was near perfect and it was Margam who won the toss and elected to field.

Early wickets fell with Ralph Richards being bowled for 6 , Michael Arnold and then Gareth John going the same way for 12 and 22 respectively. Ryan Howell looked comfortable and built a partnership with Tim Rees but was again bowled for 26. Dunvant just over the 100 mark with 4 wickets down. Enter Rob John who struck a great partnership with Tim Rees and knocked off a superb 110 with Tim also reaching 60 the score rocketed to 276 off 40 overs.

Margam in replay managed 182 for 7 off 40 overs. Gareth John the pick of the bowlers for Dunvant with 4 wickets off 8 overs for only 27 runs.
