First of all a very big thank you to Brian Williams and Dan Young for playing in the front row for the very first time. They took at least 5 balls against the head, a magnificent effort from our front row.
Oswestry were the first to score with a penalty, this kick shook Northwich into gear and they applied a lot of pressure which resulted in Tom Sparks scoring the first try in the far corner, which he failed to convert.
The next try came from the forwards wining the ball and being passed along the line to Nathan Johnson scoring a well deserved try, converted but by who else, Tom Sparks. The next try was similar to the last but this one was scored by Tom Williams and converted by Tom Sparks.
In the second half the smooth handling and linking between Irish, Ruairi Long, Nathan Johnson, Tom Williams to the wings was a joy to watch and we should of scored more tries. It was great to see Gareth Tait back and working well with Sweeny doing what they both do well knocking the opposition back.
The next try come from Tom Sparks and again in the far corner, which he converted.
After this try the whole team put up a fantastic effort and the captain of the day Andy Lawler scored a try, which was again converted by Tom Sparks. The next to score was by Oswestry, a converted try.
The final try came from the forwards winning the ball which was passed along the line to the wing, Steve MCkenna (welcome back Steve) who ran 30 meters to cross the line and score, again converted by Tom Sparks.
This week there could have been so many players nominated for Man of the Match but it went to Brian Williams,
