Welcome to Hemel Hempstead U8s

The new rugby season starts at 10am on Sunday 4th September 2022 and will run through until April 2023.

We are always looking to recruit new players, Year 3 boys and girls, new to the game or have played before.

U8s play Tag rugby in line with the RFU continuum.
Teams consist of 6 players with a focus on team work, passing, space, evasion and defending.
In line with Herts County Rugby we have adopted “Shaping the Game”, this ethos designed as a stepped introduction to the game.

Our Aims.
Encourage teamwork, build confidence and leadership skills, instill discipline and respect and bring success to all players maximising their enjoyment and understanding of the game.
Players will train and compete at their skill level to ensure that they are comfort in the game.
We encourage open passing rugby that is enjoyable to watch and great to participate in.
