Colts win on Road
East Calder Colts 2001 scored 3 goals without reply in a fairly dominant display against Grangemouth Boys Club this morning.
The Colts played the more pressing football and had Grangemouth penned in their own half formuch of the game on a terrible playing surface. Grangemouth did get a few opportunities playing long balls over the top which Colts defence dealt with fairly well, getting back in numbers and blocking any shots on goal. The pitch caused as many problems for both sides, with ball holding up on long grass and bouncing around unpredictably. Colts got on scoresheet after 15 minutes when Keiron was fouled inside the box and Paul Middleton stroking home the penalty for 1 nil. After 30 minutes Lewis Martin Elliot made it 2- 0 breaking in behind Grangemouth's defence down the left side of box and placing his shot into corner of net beyond the reach of the keeper. Half -time 0-2 to East Calder Colts
It took only 3 minutes of second half for Colts to get their third. Steven McDougall finishing through a ruck of players as Colts pressed Grangemouth high up the park. There were a few other chances created by East Calder but no more goals. Grangemouth tried to get back in to game but East Calder and the pitch didn't allow them any real chances.
