“This year we are adding to the amount of junior cricket being played on Saturdays at Homefields. ” Tim Beven

Dear Players and Parents,

This year we are adding to the amount of junior cricket being played on Saturdays at Homefields.

These sessions will now be run in 2 different age groups:

1) ECC Junior Cricket training sessions for boys and girls ages 8-13yrs which we have run for many years now and which you can sign up directly with us here. This we will start on 27th April 2019 9.30-11.00am at Homefield in Boxford

2) ECB All Stars training for 5-8 year olds. 18th May -6th July 2019

This training is run by the ECB (English Cricket Board) through their own website and we provide the training here at the club. You can sign up for this at https://ecb.clubspark.uk/AllStars/At/edwardstone

Our coach will have received extra coaching to run these courses and all players will receive a joining pack of kit, details of which you will receive when you sign up. We feel this is a step major forward as we always have requests for under 8s to start and we were unable to facilitate this in the past.

To help us run these sessions we have 2 new Level 2 ECB coaches joining us. Chris Philbedge has played for the club and will lead the Edwardstone Junior sessions with myself, Adrian and Robert Chapman. Juliet Wiles also joins the coaching team and will take the ECB All Stars sessions. She comes from a teaching background so we are sure she will be able to encourage a group of enthusiastic 5-8 year olds! We welcome them all.
