ENFIELD LOSE RELEGATION DECIDER/THREES LOSE

It wasn’t the result ENFIELD IGNATIANS craved as the 6-5 away loss to Grasshoppers means that they have finished bottom of the pile in London Two North-West.

Letchworth, also involved in the relegation mix, guaranteed their survival following an 18-14 win at Hemel Hempstead.

Destined for life at London Three level next season, Ignatians defended well for long periods and, off limited possession, they claimed the only try of the game via Michael Hall.

However, Grasshoppers added a second first-half penalty to lead 6-5 at the break.

There was no further scoring after the interval. Although Ignatians had a chance to win the game four minutes time but the penalty kick sailed wide. In many ways it summed up the season.

The third tean ended their Herts-Middlesex Merit Table Four North-East campaign with a 25-17 home loss to Hertford IVs.

THE FULL REPORTS OF THE SENIOR GAMES AND THE U14S' CLASH WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE RELEVANT TEAM SECTIONS.
