First Team vs Staveley MW (A) - Saturday 9th March

Another week and another difficult game in prospect against an in-form opponent. Garforth did however come within a whisker of a result against fourth-placed Hemsworth last weekend, if we can produce a display like the last 30 mins of that one then who knows?

Now four points adrift in the bottom five, Rob Hunter's side travel to sixth-place Staveley seeking a first win in nine. Our hosts, whilst losing narrowly to Evo-Stik League Frickley in the County Cup in midweek, remain unbeaten in the league in 2019 and have tasted defeat in the league only once at Inkersall Road in 2018-19.

It's the second meeting in the space of the month between the two sides and the third overall this season. Both previous encounters on Cedar Ridge give plenty to chew on for inspiration! The Derbyshire side won both despite finishing each with ten men, last month's league cup tie agonisingly so from a Garforth perspective, coming after extra time and penalties.
