From Mark Lynch:
Harrow U14 unbeaten in all league games!
Indeed you have to go all the way back to Nov 2017 against L Scottish to find our last league loss !
Team what a performance from everyone today our defence was outstanding ! We found ourselves low on numbers so we devised a simple game plan to load our midfield and attack at every opportunity. With several forwards playing out of position in the back line it was a gamble but boy did it pay off. Sean, Take and Galloway all out of position were outstanding. Very pleasing from a coaching perspective that the plan was executed so well with the ball passed at speed to put our strike runners into space and score at over a point a minute. Defensively we were superb. A dubious penalty then the mark moved 30m caught the defensive line out of position for Bank’s only try. The drift cover in defence was exceptional!
Player of the day could have gone to everyone to be honest but David caught a kick off deep inside our half then ran through the entire Bank team. He was tackled by five defenders short of the line but with a superhuman final drive he reached out one handed to place the ball on the try line. Quite outstanding so he gets Player of the Day.
Thanks to all the finishers who kept the game at pace to annihilate Bank of England 62-5.
A big thanks to all the parents who have braved the elements and watched very game. A special thanks to all those who have helped in the kitchen and other roles in the Club, in particular the gang of six who always step up. You know who you are!
A great performance , a great season and a great team effort.
Mark
