Kidlington's improved form continued as they took a deserved point from this Evo-stic League South Division One match at play-off chasing AFC Dunstable.

The point they gained at Dunstable sees them move out of the bottom 3 for only the second time this season and they have now only been beaten only once in their last 5 league matches.

This game was all about hard toil and getting stuck in which is just what Manager Julian McCalmon has been instilling in his troops over the last few weeks. However, The Greens fell behind in only the 10th minute to a brilliant strike from Jermaine Hall, so they had to work their way back into the match after this.

On 26 minutes Kidlington stopper Sam Warrell made a good save from a shot from Leon Cashman, whilst up the other end Darius Browne and Elliott Osbourne-Ricketts combined well before the former saw his shot well saved by home keeper Dan Green.

A couple of minutes before the end of the half Green again did well to prevent what looked a goal bound effort from Lewis Gabbidon.

The second half started at a fast pace with Dunstable on the front foot. Warrell was called into action on 51 minutes to save a shot from Drew Roberts. Kidlington though weren't lying down and very nearly took the lead themselves, but another great save from Green prevented Gabbidon scoring with a header from a Lewis Coyle corner in the 62nd minute.

The game became very end to end after this and an equalising goal was archived in spectacular fashion in the 75th minute, Lewis Coyle the scorer from fully 35 yards out. The "Little Magician" hit a fierce dipping shot which Green in the Dunstable goal could do absolutely nothing about.

So 1 - 1 and all to play for in the last quarter of an hour of the match.

The pace of these last knocking's was frantic, Warrell again saved well from Drew Roberts before Tommy Castle very nearly won it for The Greens in the 88th minutes. Castle's fierce shot coming back off the inside of the far post.

That was as close as we got to a winning goal and both side had to share the points, which was just about right from this fast paced encounter.

Team - Warrell, Bernisconi, Castle, Marvin, Franklin, Gabbidon, Coyle, Tooke, Osborne-Ricketts, Jordan, Browne.
Subs - Williams, Willoughby, Quainton, Thorne & McGlynn.
