Kersley Awaits: Update from our DoR Steve Farrell

Hello All

Last week in the snow the Development XV beat a spirited FWOE team by 41 points to 14, I am still a bit bemused at the referee's decision to award FWOE a penalty try because he told us to use the ball 3 times from the back of a scrum that we had won & we kept the ball in!!!

Anyway on to this week:- Saturday 27th January sees our 1st XV in league action at home against Keresley who are currently one place above us in the league, kick off is 2:15pm.

This is our first league outing in the second half of the season, promotion is still possible for us so we need to win all our remaining 6 league games & aim for as many bonus points as possible. We lost narrowly in the first game with Keresley over at their ground, late in the second half we were losing 19 - 14 having conceded a try from a blatant forward pass that even a blind man would have seen, we were in full attack looking for a try to take the lead but unfortunately spilled the ball for them to score under our posts - final score was 26-14 to Keresely

We have a full strength starting XV with a strong 5 man bench & at least 8 players on stand by - we look forward to welcoming a spirited Keresley side for this mouth watering match

Please come down to watch the game & cheer on the team to victory - as always all supporters will be made very welcome & the players are lifted by the encouragement from the sidelines

I look forward to seeing you on Saturday

Cheers

Steve F
