After two draws and a lose the Warriors were desperate for a win in what has been a busy month for them.
Both teams were able to field strong squads and it made for a quality encounter.
The Warriors got an early score through fly half Jamie Evans but from there on it was all about the home side. The Chiefs had the edge throughout the first half with the Warriors being guilty of being too passive in defence.
Strong running from the Cardiff backs brought them three quality tries as they showed fast hands and feet to leave the Warriors reeling. Will McCarthy bagged two tries as the Chiefs moved the ball effectivley. Gareth Morris showed good awareness to score and Jack Trigg capped a fine game with a neat try. Whilst it wasn’t one way traffic, the Chiefs were definitely on top.
The Warriors though improved as the game went on. The defence improved immeasurably over the course of the match and slowly momentum swung their way. Sharp work on the blind side saw Johnathon Kearney squeeze through, Dan John scored after a frantic hack through and Tomos Hall rounded of a series of rucks.
It was an old school rugby match with plenty of physicality and several players having to leave the field. Mathew Lofthouse lead the way for the Chiefs and Youseff El Talwab having another good game for the Warriors.
With time ticking away it was 4 tries apiece but the Chiefs were ahead but virtue of one Joe Pursley successful conversion. It was no place for the faint hearted as the Warriors pushed for the winning score. Twice they were held up but eventually, after numerous forward drives, Hall again stretched over.
The Chiefs had two minutes to rescue the result and came close in a frantic ending but the Warriors managed to force an error and claim the elusive November victory.

A cracking day. The game, once was the changing rooms and pitch was found (come on Gwilym!) was a cracker with a grandstand finish. Those worried about Lloydi or Fudge (anyone...?) there really is NO need.
A bit of fire alarm ? fun in the showers and then all back to Llandaff for a pasty, several pints and Wales beating the Boks. There was even cheese to celebrate (get your own Rowlands)
Once the kids got back from Cardiff it was disco bus to Llanelli with Mr. Grumpy and watching Nathan nearly do a handstand flick in clockwork.
