U16s beat Sheffield B 19-3

A good work out in the sun

With numbers down on both sides we played an 8 aside game on a perfect morning for lacrosse. With Alex and Oli stepping up from the 14s and Tom starting in goal we weren't quite sure how things would go. A surprisingly fast start with good passing and movement and some good finishing saw us race into a 7-1 1st qtr lead. The 2nd was closer with a spirited and committed Sheffield side limiting our chances as we ended the half 10-1 up.

The 2nd half saw periods of excellent link up play and clinical finishing, especially by Ashley who was on top form today as we ended the game 19-3 victors. It would have been easy to have cancelled today but the boys from Sheffield who travelled for an 8 aside game deserve great credit and I'm sure that team next year will reap the rewards for such commitment. For us, it was really good to get a game under our belt before next Sat and hopefully we can carry on the finishing that we saw today.
