Skegness Town (H) | Preview

This Saturday, Parkgate host Skegness Town at Roundwood on the back of an away defeat at local league rivals Dronfield Town.

Parkgate's defeat last weekend saw them miss an opportunity to go level on points with 8th place and with then 7th placed Selby Town losing, could had seen Parkgate in a great league position coming up to the final 11 games of the 18/19 season.

Parkgate go into the game on the back of a 2-1 away defeat to Dronfield Town. But, this Parkgate side usually punish lower league opponents, and have been good when playing lower league opposition. The Steelmen welcome their opponents after beating them 1-2 at the Vertigo Stadium two weeks ago, thanks to a Simon Harrison free-kick and a Brandon Bagley left footed strike early in the second half. However, this has been Parkgate's only victory from the previous five game, losing to Dronfield Town, Campion, Grimsby Borough and Worsbrough Bridge.

Saturday's opposition, Skegness Town, haven't won in five games in all competitions (including a cup defeat to Selby Town), their last win coming against Selby Town on the 12th of January. Last time out they lost away at Glasshoughton Welfare with goals coming in both halfs, seeing Skegness lose 2-0.

Parkgate are still without left-back Freddie Russell, who is still out injured with a groin strain sustained against Skegness Town, two weeks ago. But influential midfielder Simon Harrison returns after illness last week, seeing him miss the away trip to Dronfield Town. Parkgate are still without winger Zak Khalifa.
