'Scholars' come out on top at Margate

A goal in each half from Dernell Wynter and Josh Hutchinson has almost secured Bostik Premier football at the Pakex for another season.

With three games remaining The Scholars are eight points clear of the relegation places.

The Bar took the lead with a fine finish in the box from leading scorer Dernell Wynter with 14 minutes gone.

The home side launched attack after attack on the Scholars goal but were denied all afternoon by the magnificent efforts of a resolute back four, more than ably backed up by the efforts of Niko Tzanev in the Bar goal.

The points were sealed late on as Josh Hutchinson rose at the back post to head home a Wynter cross to make it 2-0 and send a very noisy BarArmy (not to mention a smiling Chairman) home happy.
