With 11min remaining Southwick pressed hard for an equaliser and forced a penalty corner. From the breakdown of this attack Ashford broke down the pitch and finished from close range in clinical style.

Man of the Match – Taff Mapawanda
Southwick although very disappointed with the result has shown considerable improvement over last season when Ashford comfortably dismissed Southwick both home and away.
Southwick slip to 4th after 3 games and again face a very stern challenge v Marden Russets at Marden next week.
