The Colts welcomed a strong Alverthorpe side to Queen’s Drive in our last home league game of the season. It wasn’t our day with many chances, especially in the first half ending up narrowly wide or saved by Alverthorpe’s outstanding goalkeeper. Alverthorpe ran out 6-1 winners, a second half solo effort by George Adams the consolation goal for the hosts. Harry Charles was awarded man of the match for some great saves in the Thornes goal.
In the Development game, goals from Jacob Hutchinson, Coben Wilson and Arran Lyon earned a 3-3 draw in an entertaining game for the Colts. Harrison Fothergill playing in defence was man of the match for the Colts with a solid display.
