Brig to face a gladiatorial battle in the season opener.

Bamber Bridge will start the new Northern Premier League season on the road as they travel to the Proctor Cars Stadium to face Matlock Town on Saturday 17 August.

The first home game of the season will see Brig entertain former Brig and PNE player Jon Macken as he brings his newly promoted Radcliffe side to Irongate on Tuesday 20 August.

Other notable dates in the fixture calendar see Brig making the short trip to Lancaster City on Boxing Day, and supporters can nurse their New Year's Day hangovers in the comfort of the Brig clubhouse when Warrington Town will be the visitors.

Easter Monday will be a reverse of the Boxing Day fixture as Lancaster City will be the visitors.

The final league game of the season will also see Brig at home to Hyde United.

There’s also good news for travelling Briggers, the ever popular trip to South Shields is on Saturday 31 August!
