Second half display let's Bancroft down.
By Charles Wallace
Win slips through the fingers.
Bancroft started the game brightly and took the match to May & Baker. Dominant around the pitch and in the tight Bancroft applied pressure. They were set back when they lost Adam Winchester to a shoulder injury.
Bancroft regrouped and continued to have the upper hand.
As the half ended the Bancroft dominance was rewarded as the scored three tries in quick succession.
The second half was almost a reversal with May & Baker on top and Bancroft on the back foot. A series of quick tries closed the gap before a final try gave the opposition the win and Bancroft left scratching their heads as to how they let this game slip away.
