AGM 2019 Summary
Thanks to all those who attended the AGM last night, a lively series of debates took place which I have summarised below.
o Three new VPs elected, Paul Rochester, Anthony Kempster and Danny Kemp following many years of unpaid service beyond the call of duty.
o No change to membership subscriptions for the following year.
o Money saved by introducing new bank account, changing card machine and renegotiating TV package.
o Club purchased 8 new windows for the main hall, a defibrillator, a large TV and a new glass washer during the year.
o Bar sales were up but bar profits slightly down.
o Subscriptions taken were slightly up but donations were down.
o Match fees taken were up but fund raising was down.
o 250 Club remains healthy but there are a few numbers still available.
o Greene King now on board as beer provider alongside Maison Maurice for bar provisions.
o A directory of services and products available from club members will be available so that members can advantage of them when required.
o CCTV installation might be worthwhile addition to our security.
o Sponsor needed to upgrade the banner by the front gate.
o Simon and Joanne Gardner have volunteered to look at sponsorship and entertainment across the club.
o An update was provided on the planning application being submitted for the ambitious new clubhouse extension being planned following a recent positive meeting with the new mayor of Bromley.
