Chasetown FC - new appointment

By Paul Mullins

Chasetown are delighted to welcome Mark Dolman to the club.

This season Chasetown are having an under 21 side that will compete in the Midland league and give good support and a pathway into the 1st team.

The club are pleased to announce the new manager will be Mark Dolman. With success in youth section with Hednesford Town, Chasetown in the MJPL and Staffs County Cup winners in 2016.

Having a season out of football he was lured back briefly to help out at Lichfield U21s before being appointed as Brocton U21s manager for the end of 2018/19.

Mark is relishing the opportunity to be part of such a big club in the area and working with Scott Dundas and his team.

Mark will announce further back room staff in the next few weeks.

Scott said, "It’s a new venture for the club but we all believe it will be a good one. The league they are entering into is a good standard and ideal for the players that are still developing after leaving U18s junior football.

"First team news on this seasons signings will be released soon. We have been working very hard to improve the squad and we have potentially 5 or 6 new players for the coming season with the majority of last season's squad staying.

"Pre season training starts for us next Tuesday (2nd July) with our first game away at Abbey Hulton on Saturday 6th July where a few new faces will be on show."
