Four first half goals did the damage and it could easily have been 6 or 7 before the break.
Chasetown took the lead after 3 minutes. George Cater was tripped by Corey Vickers and Jack Langston converted the penalty.
Two minutes Chasetown doubled their lead with a calculated lob from Tom Hill over keeper Joao Mendes.
The hosts turned the screw and Hill fired just wide and Callum Lovatt hit the crossbar inside the first 15 minutes.
On twenty minutes, it was deservedly 3-0. Lovatt clipped an exquisite ball over the defender and Cater took a controlling touch before firing into the roof of the net.
The one way traffic continued and the Scholars added a fourth on the half hour. Will Whieldon's free kick was headed back across by Luke Childs and Hill added his second with a well placed header.
After an understandably quiet start to the second half, Chasetown finally added a fifth in the 75th minute. The ball was played through to substitute Liam Kirton who took the ball beyond keeper Mendes and steadied himself to side foot past the defender on the line.
Mendes made a late fingertip save to deny Jarrell Hylton from opening his Chasetown account.
