Against a determined Yeovil side, and against the wind for most of this match, Chippenham scored nine tries, three converted, and kept Yeovil off the scoresheet for a convincing win.
At 36-0 at half-time, Yeovil were well behind, but not out of it. Raw English memories of yesterday's remarkable Calcutta Cup match meant that nobody in the Chippenham camp was counting chickens just yet. As it was, Chippenham pushed on and scored another three unanswered tries to finish the official match at 51-0.
Overall it was an impressive team performance from the boys. There were plenty of examples of individual strength and speed making a difference, but the foundation was good organisation in attack and defence, decision-making and support play throughout the team - starters and replacements.
