Summer League

Darlington ladies had yet another great match last night in their summer league against Redcar ladies, working together as a team to achieve a comfortable win of 8-0!

The passing amongst the team was spot on with great stick to stick passing and triangles creating many chances on goal. Goals came from Rachel Bowes, with 3 spectacular conversions; Sam with a accurate slap into the net after a run up the pitch;3 from Millie, one from the narrowest of angles; and Alex's first goal for the club, a powerful slap from a super cross from Charlotte who was instrumental in many of the goals. Becky also demonstrated her prowess, splitting the defence and helping to create many opportunities!

At the other end solid defending from Rachel, Catherine and Alex meant that Redcar had few shots on goal and leaving Iona with little to do but look menacing and shout encouragement :) One save from Catherine in particular, stopped Redcar in their tracks!

Well done to everyone for an outstanding performance!
