General information
Welcome to Deeside Rugby, Under 13s. We train on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 1830-2000, at Woodend Playing Fields, Banchory, AB31 5QA (opposite Tesco). Generally, we align with the school term, with breaks at October, Christmas, and Easter, but other than that, it’s most weeks until the end of May.
Matches are separate and are mostly played on Sundays. The league will run until Christmas and competitive matches thereafter are friendlies.

Kit
If you’re trying rugby for the first time, there’s no need to splurge on a full set of kit initially. Comfortable sports clothing (appropriate for the weather) and, while rugby boots are recommended, trainers are acceptable for the beginner.
Club-branded kit is available from Kitvendr and, if required, in the kit store, there is a bucket of second-hand boots. Please feel free to help yourself – it operates on a system of one pair out, one pair in. In the first instance, if you don’t have a pair to put in, we ask that you make a donation at the tea hut instead.
The only piece of kit that is essential is a gum shield – these are inexpensive and can be purchased from most sports shops, or online.
