Road racing - Charlwood Handicap 30th May

By Neil James

Great organisation and further DCC success

A lightening quick edition of the Surrey League Charlwood handicap was successfully hosted by Dorking CC - the Strava KOM for the course fell which shows the quality of the field given the number of times this course is raced each year. DCC achieved 2 placings in the top 20 which was a decent return from a strong field and particular congratulations to Matthew Sim who came 11th and also received bonus Surrey League points as 1st 4th Category rider with Justin Thomas rolling in for 20th. Club member Ryan Peirce (racing for Surrey Hills Cycleworks) also came in 13th.

Hats off to the superb organisation from David Light and the Dorking membership and everyone who helped out at the event. You’re contribution really helps keep grass roots racing alive so a big thankyou from our racers and everyone that raced the course.
