East Calder Colts secured runners up spot in League B with a battling win against Harvey Juvenile, who could have matched the Colts points total had they won. Meeting for the 2nd time in 4 days, the Colts set up with 3 at the back to combat the long ball used successfully against them in the midweek fixture and which allowed Harvey to score 4 before half time. Both teams failed to get the ball down in the early part of the game, but the Colts were trying to play football and managed to create a few chances with Lewis Martin Elliot and Keiron Hogg both going close but failing to hit target. After 22 minutes Harvey took the lead, forcing the ball home after getting in behind Colts defence after long ball into corner was played into box. Colts then re-organised and changed back to 4-4-2 and Rhys Melrose coming on at right back and Cameron Arnott coming on for Steven McDougall and Morgan Ingram. This switch gave the Colts a more familiar look and they began to get a grip on the game. In the 40th minute a deft flick from Keiron Hogg into run of Lewis Martin Elliot who got took the ball in his stride and getting ahead of the defenders placed the ball low to keepers left for a deserved equaliser on stroke of half-time. 1-1. The second half was less than a minute old when Colts took the lead. This time Lewis Martin Elliot and Keiron Hogg combined again, putting pressure on Harvey backline, Lewis won the ball and put Keiron through to finish well for 2-1 Colts. The Colts were now largely in control of the game but Harvey were still a threat. Colts kept plugging away and created chances with further shots from Lewis Martin Elliot, Keiron Hogg and Morgan Ingram all going close, and Ben Smith and Stewart Forsyth going close from free-kicks and Cameron Arnott hitting a volley that looked destined for top right corner but just didn't come down in time. All the pressure from the Colts finally paid off when Keiron and Lewis chasing the ball down deep in the Harvey box, Keiron won the ball near the goal line on right hand side and despite being surrounded by 3 or 4 defenders he kept dribbling towards goal and looked to have lost it but never gave up until he broke through and toed the ball over the line for the Colts third goal with 7 minutes to the end. This third goal gave the Colts the cushion they needed and although they created further chances with Morgan Ingram and Lewis Martin Elliot going close again the game ended 3-1 and secured 2nd place in the League for the home side.
