Skelmersdale who had not played the previous Tuesday or Saturday looked the fresher of the two sides in the first half.
The best chance of the half fell to Lee Shaw, who dragged his shot just wide. The Skelmersdale centre halves were strong and didn't allow Felipe Barcelos or Lee Shaw the space for them to run with the ball.
The second half was very similar but it was Skelmersdale who took the lead on 56 minutes. The Gingerbreads gave a free kick away on the half way line, this was pumped into the box. Michael Grogan won the header and flicked onto Chad Whyte who put the all past Kieran Preston.
This kicked The Gingerbreads into life and almost instantly in reply, Harry Clifton attacked forward and saw his 20 yard shot pushed away well by the Skelmersdale keeper.
A heavy challenge in the centre circle by Skelmersdale led to a little bit of pushing between Tom Batchelor and a couple of Skelmersdale players.
The equaliser came not much after. Luke Shaw put in a corner which didn't beat the first defender, however the ball came back to him and the cross was much better as it found Tom Batchelor who headed home.
Late in the match, Skelmersdale thought they had won the match. After some pushing and shoving in the box, Skelmersdale put in a corner and was headed home. However the referee adjudged that a foul had occurred.
Full time came and The Gingerbreads remained unbeaten for the week.
Next it's a trip to Derbyshire on Saturday to play Ilkeston FC
