Into Round Three...

Guilsfield 1 Llandudno 0

Guilsfield edged this 2nd round match in the Nathaniel MG Cup with a single goal dividing the sides.
Llandudno came into the tie without Robbie Farleigh, Robbie Parry, Gethin Jones and new signing Alfons Fosu-Mensah. Guilsfield named an unchanged lineup from last week's winning team v Ruthin.
The match was dominated by the very windy conditions but credit to both sets of players for giving the hardy spectators an entertaining game.
Throughout the game, the visitors keeper, Pearson was kept busy. Indeed, a triple save near the end of the first half was the highlight of his performance. Meanwhile, home keeper Mike Jones also kept his goal intact with a fine tipped save in the second half.
The breakthrough came with 4 minutes left after a Chris Cathrall throw was allowed to bounce in the area and Adam Jenkins reacted quickest to control the ball and fire home the winning goal.
Guilsfield go into the hat for the third round draw on the back of two clean sheets and a couple of solid team performances.

Team: Jones, Bromley, Richards, Rogers, Litchfield, James, Cook, Harries, Davies, Blendkinsop, Jenkins. Subs: Cathrall (Harries), Clifton.
