Minis end the season with Awards NIght and final Fun Day training

By Neil MacDonald

The U7 to U11 teams concluded their season of rugby at Sunday's Fun Day, while Harrow U12s wound up with a tour to Bournemouth.

The Harrow Minis coaches did a great job at their Awards Night on Friday evening at the club. Always one of the harder tasks of the season, Sachin and Kirsty for the U7s, Pablo for the U8s and Chris for the U9s went first and ensured the young players were recognised for their efforts and team contributions. Glenn and Michael presented the U10 awards with Matt finishing up for the U11s.They then went on to hold the last training session of the season at Sunday's Fun Day.

Well done to the players, coaches, team managers and all who have volunteered and helped during the season! And well done to all the Awards winners!

It was also good to see the club promoting a healthy diet amongst our youngest players by laying on hot dogs with Creme Egg Easter Eggs and sides of salty snacks! If that wasn't enough, there was also a Cake Sale going on to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tash Ghinn, Harrow U8s Team Manager is running the London Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support and our efforts have helped her beat her initial funding target ahead of the race. She is now hoping to hit over £4000 and if you would like to help you can donate on her page here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/natasha-ghinn2
