LOCAL DERBY ENDS 3-3

Honours Even in Last Game of the Season against Wanderers
Final game of a long season, was a local derby against Wanderers, played at the execellent Badger Park, home of Hambledon FC.
With Luffy playing for us, a fair few of his Saturday team mates lined up for the Wanderers on a lovely sunny day.
Both teams tried to play good football in the warm conditions, Wanderers seeing more of the ball. but it was Green who took the lead, Bleachy firing past the keeper 0-1. Wanderers levelled and then took the lead right on half time with a powerful far post header from a corner HT 2-1
The second half was more open, with Wanderers going 3-1 up after Coss had saved the first effort well. Further chances were created by both teams, with Steven, Paddy, and Sam having good opportunities to reduce the deficit. Then Luffy found space on the right flank, floated in a lovely cross for Steven to head home 3-2. Milford pushed for the equaliser, and in the dying moments Matty's long throw, eventually found it's way to Luffy at the back post to nod just inside the post FT3-3.
A good game to watch, and credit to the boys as they kept going until the end to get their deserved share of the spoils ....enjoy your break !
