New Coach - Lee Imiolek

Brods are pleased to announce that Lee Imiolek is to join the coaching team for the upcoming season.

Lee, a qualified Level 2 RFU coach, started his rugby with his Junior club Sandbach in Cheshire - who currently play in the Midlands Premier league, went on to play for England at U16, U18 & U20 level before signing a professional contract with Sale Sharks. He played 35 games for Sale with 26 of those in the premiership alongside well known names such as Danny Cipriani, Mark Cueto, Ben Cohen and our very own Charlie Hodgson. After leaving the Sharks, Lee continued in the professional game with Leeds Carnegie playing over 80 games.

Now living in Halifax, Lee is looking forward to joining the Brods to further assist the development of the club and its players.

Commenting on the appointment, Head Coach Ollie Akroyd, “It’s fantastic that Lee was so enthusiastic about joining the club. I am delighted that our playing squad and emerging junior talent will have the chance to learn from Lee who has worked alongside so many talented players and coaches throughout his career. From a personal point of view, I am looking forward working with him to develop the team, he is a great fit for the culture we want to create within the squad. I am really looking forward to us all getting started in July”
