On Sunday 14th July, James presented a cheque to David Howland, Senior Chairman (right) and Jim Harris, M&J Chairman (left) at the ONA Centenary Family Day for £1,000 after he won Premiership Rugby Cup Breakthrough Player Award.
James won the public vote & received a Promaster Tough watch courtesy of Premiership Rugby partner Citizen, while Gilbert, Official Ball and Rugby Clothing Partner of Premiership Rugby, will supply £1,000 worth of kit to the club after James' kind nomination.
James started playing rugby at the Old Northamptonians aged 4 and spent 13 years playing at the club before joining the Saints Senior Academy ahead of the 2016-17 season. Since then he has made 29 1st team appearances for Northampton Saints, amassing 151 points.
James has also represented England at U17, U18 & U20 and won the Premiership Rugby A League trophy on two occasions and most recently won the Premiership Rugby Cup, where he was given the man of the match award.
