This Saturday, Parkgate make the short travel to the Rotherham Road ground, the home of mid-table NCEL Division One outfit Swallownest.

Parkgate go into the game on the back of a 1-0 home victory against regelation threaten Ollerton Town at Roundwood on Wednesday evening. After the previous two high-scoring victories at home, Andy Dawson’s men did just enough to get three points on the board after Ollerton put up a good test.

Our opposition today, currently sit eleventh in the league and recently reaching the NCEL League Cup semi-finals, beating Selby Town 4-2 on penalties. However, they’ve struggled when playing teams placed higher in the table, with defeats Hallam, Grimsby Borough, Nostell MW, and Dronfield Town all since the start of February.

LAST TIME.
The return fixture at Roundwood in the first month of the season, Parkgate then managed by former manager Billy Fox, was a disappointing day for the Steelmen with Swallownest cruising past the home side to a 0-3 victory. But with new management and a new look squad, the Rotherham based side are better equipped to go head-to-head with Swallownest on Saturday.
