Notts Senior Cup Win for Real

By

A convincing performance saw the Real side come out with a stunning 6-1 victory over Keyworth United in the Notts Senior Cup

Changes were made from Wednesdays loss to Bilborough, with debut Mitchell Robinson coming into defence alongside the available again Josh Watts.

A change in formation saw Craig Binch partner the ever impressing Jourdan Blair.

The game started with Real playing at a good tempo, controlling the ball and playing with purpose.

Craig Binch scored the opener with a delightful individual goal, taking on centre half before cutting in and curling the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.

An injury to Josh Watts saw a change and Binch was put into right back, which saw Romeo Mugadza join Blair up front.

Keyworth were beginning to have their moments and dominated proceedings for 15 minutes after the change, meaning Elliot had to be on his toes tipping over a great shot from the lively Whyman for Keyworth.

But it was a fantastic individual strike from 35 yards that saw Jack Upton get his first goal for the club - changing the game, putting us in the driving seat!

Just before half time, a great team goal was finished by Romeo Mugadza who also scored his first goal for the club after good work from partner Blair.

HT 3-0 to Real

The second half began in a scrappy affair and a poor free kick given away by Cheatle saw the wall split and the ball trickle into the bottom corner to give Keyworth a glimmer of hope.

However, Real had other plans and after precise passing in midfield saw Blair feed the ball in the box, who squared it for Mugadza to get his second and Reals 4th.

This knocked the stuffing out of Keyworth and Real really started to dominate.

The 5th goal came from good football at the back, finding Cheatle with space to play a great ball to Blair, who lobbed the onrushing keeper and finished with aplomb. Nothing more than his performance deserved and that was his 6th goal in as many games.

The final goal saw Upton's persistence rewarded, after great pressing saw a pass back fall at his feet and he finished well with his left foot.

Final Score 6-1

A very good team performance, the team seem to be growing in confidence and unity. Some great individual goals and performances, but in whole, a good team performance.
