Southend & Benfleet 3rd XI - 3
Chelmsford 6th XI - 2
After last weeks defeat, Southend and Benfleet were desperate to win. They gained possession early on in the game helping Aimee Cole to score the first goal. Shortly after, Chelmsford scored leaving the half time numbers as 1 all.
After half time, Nicole Rutter scored the second goal for Southend and Benfleet, boosting moral and giving the girls faith to win. The girls maintained possession and carried on playing their best. Unfortunately for s&b, Chelmsford earned themselves a penalty flick and scored from it. This didn’t stop s&b and didn’t dull their spirits. They carried on fighting and Tiggy Francis scored the winning goal.
POM went to Tiggy Francis after she played exceptionally well and scored the winning goal.
