Keeperless 4s put up fight but suffer narrow loss

Keeperless Southend &Benfleet got off to a strong start with Georgia Middleton, Abby Lockwood and Lucy Stowe working in attack together but their efforts were swept away by the Romford defence. Southend & Benfleet conceded a short corner but with solid defending this was converted into an S&B attack as player of the match Georgia Middleton picked up the ball top D and used quick 1-2 passes with team mate Charmaine Thorn. The only goal of the match came from Romford when Southend & Benfleet were caught off guard briefly on a quick ball through the middle from a Romford player. Emily Richardson, Angie Chambers and Olivia Rutter all ran back to defend. The ball hit the post which kept it in play, Emily fought hard to keep the ball on the other side of the line but unfortunately Romford scored. Southend & Benfleet kept their heads held high with attack after attack but unfortunately could not convert in the D.
