a mothers day treat

AWAY 18TH MARCH VS BURTON

Our game was against a well organised Burton side that have been playing well this season with some big victories against some good sides and after the first game it looked like that we were going to be added to their list of conquests.

We seemed to have forgotten some things that we have been training on and Burton took advantage and ran out comfortable 4 – 1 winners in a seemingly short match with our try coming from Toby.

The second game however was a complete turn around from the first and we showed what a good team we can be when we want. We won this game 4 – 3 but it was more comfortable than the score suggested as Burton managed to run in 2 late tries as this time the match felt like it was never going to end. This time our tries came from Toby x 2, James and Alex.

A 3rd game was decided to be played over 5 mins each half which proved to be our best performance of the day and possibly of the season, this time running out winners 3 – 2 again with a never-ending match thanks to tries from Peter and 2 more from Toby

A big thank you this week goes to Debs (Matt’s mom) for the delicious sponge cakes that she had made for the parents and boys to enjoy for mothers day. Lovely. If you feel like spoiling us any other matches I’m sure there will be no arguments.
