NEW DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Finally, all the planning conditions were met, approved, and licenses obtained! As you may have seen, the civil engineering works have started in earnest.

Lydon Contracting Ltd have done an outstanding job creating a new entrance to initially enable the waggons to roll, transporting the infill required to level the new land. The entrance will, after construction has finished, be used as an alternative entrance to Tows at busy times, enabling more parking on site.

The “haul road” has been created by Graham Churchill’s our Civil Engineering and groundworks partners. Both Lydon Contracting and Graham Churchill are sponsors of Tows to whom we are very grateful for their continued support.

As mentioned, the haul road is in and the waggons will very shortly start to roll, all 1,500 of them transporting the 33,000 cubic metres of soil needed to fill and level the new land!

Meanwhile, Churchill’s have been busy stripping Chesil Beach. The next step will be to level it. this should be finished by next week, weather permitting.

After the ground has been levelled, special drains will be set and the final level of top-quality topsoil and seed to ensure the perfect surface will be ready to go for next season. Meanwhile the waggons will keep on rolling.

Please be aware, that area is a Construction Site, and no one will be permitted to be allowed in. Please read and obey the signs.
