Equipment

Mouth guards - The RFU strongly recommends that mouth guards (also referred to as gum shields) are worn for any contact rugby activity (both training and matches). The use of mouthguards can help to protect the teeth and face.

Body Armour - Wearing a body armour should be the personal choice of the player and/or parent. Shoulder pads (also referred to as body armour) can help to reduce the impact of a tackle, by absorbing and dispersing the force. They do not increase the power of the tackler in any way. Headguards (sometimes referred to as scrum caps) can help to protect the head from cuts and abrasions, and protect the ears.

Parents & Guardians

Remain responsible for their children at training/matches and need to stay, especially if their children are Under 12 years of age.

We empathise with those who have to spread themselves between pitches but please do ask another parent for help if you need to run into clubhouse or across to another pitch, so we know where you are etc.
