MATCH REVIEW
DRONFIELD 3-0 WINTERTON RANGERS
It was a day to forget for Winterton Rangers as we travelled to Derbyshire looking to keep on track at the top of the NCEL Division 1.
The result and performance was below par as we surrendered our recent 4 game unbeaten run. Manager Scott Hellewell was evidently less than impressed with what he watched.
“I don’t know where to start, we got beat by a good, well drilled team. A few of our lads didn’t fancy it today clearly. They outworked us all over the pitch, winning every first and second ball. At this level, the minimum you expect is hard work, and a select few can say they did that today but the rest will wake up in the morning and feel fresh as a daisy.”
“We have some big decisions to make for next week, we are going to work on a few players as some aren’t justifying their starting role currently.”
A look at the results and it turned out once again quite fortunate in terms of other clubs dropping points too as we continue to be second in the table. We now head into next weeks home game against Armthorpe Welfare looking for a response.
“We are still in a great position in the league so I won’t allow one result to ruin the season. I fully expect a response next Saturday and in training this week.”
