Happy New Year! Wheatley start the year with a Didcot Double header!
With the first team hosting Didcot at Holton Playing Fields of Dreams we are in the luxurious position of having an unchanged starting xv for the first time this season.
With the now regular starting front row of Gabbidon, Mitchell and Rees, Smith and Brook in the engine room, and the well balanced back row of Bailey, Bland and Neal looking to excite the play and move the Didcot pack around and build on the set piece dominance witnessed earlier in the season.
The back line will also now build on the continuity forged at Bletchley with Stanford-Tuck and Laman pulling the strings at 9 & 10 Butler and Mpanza at 12-13 with Dan Rule and Joe Taylor on the wings, Jordan is retained hat fullback.
Slight changes on the bench this week with Tom Heyden making his first appearance in the 1st XV matchday squad and the Moose making his way back after long term lay off injured. Tam is also on the bench
