Saturday sees a return to action following last weeks postponed game, away to Nuneaton, due to the snow and ice. Sandbach however are once more on the road with a visit to the West Midlands, where they are scheduled to play Old Halesonians. Having decided to return to their traditional roots as an old boy’s club, without the assistance of hired hands, Old Hales have struggled in the league and are now unfortunately all but certain to be relegated this season. They have been a solid fixture in this league for some years now and their games with Sandbach have traditionally always been competitive, close affairs.
Having lost narrowly on both the last two away trips recently, Sandbach will be keen to get back to winning ways. Having slipped up against fellow relegation threatened Newbold on Avon a few weeks ago, Sandbach know they cannot afford to take any team lightly and will want to be a bit better disciplined and patient, than in recent weeks. Sandbach will look to utilise the depth of the squad for the game and give an opportunity to those players to stake a claim for a first team slot and blood young players. So, there is still plenty of incentive for the Bradwall Road boys, as they look to climb out of the highly competitive, congested mid table section of the league.
