Mens Own finally start the 2018/19 league campaign.
Mens travel up the M1 to take on a well drilled and 'big' Sileby side. The two sides have faced off twice in previous year both times Mens Own coming out on top.
Sileby renowned for the well organised strong pack will be chomping at the bit to get back to winning ways after a tough day at the office last time out against BBOB.
Head Coach Adam Baker has named a young exciting squad to kick start the season, with homegrown talent Harry Hill, captaining the side for the first time, with club captain Noah Kennedy being unavailable through injury.
The front row is made up of returning player Grant Wond, Nick Brown in the Middle and the ever improving Luke Oakey at Tight Head. A welcome return to Jonnny Squire in row, is partnered by the experieneced Ian Evans. George Briddon makes his league debut for the 1st XV at 6 after a succesfull season as Colts captain last year. Dan Jones and the ever present Chris Gould make up the backrow.
Toby Sandham and Head Coach Adam Baker partner up again at 9 and 10 respectively. The exciting partnership of Callum Kerr and Kieren Stainton take the positions in the centre. Captain Harry Hill and Alex Cairns are joined in the back 3 by new signing Micheal Whitehead, who joins the club from high flying Ealing Trailfinders.
The bench is made up of Joe Ealing, Liam Kerr and new forwards coach Luke Passmore.
